HSV stands for Hue (0-360°), Saturation (0-100%), Value (0-100%). It's a cylindrical color model used widely in design software. Unlike RGB which mixes light, HSV describes colors in a way humans naturally perceive them.
Both have Hue, but HSL's Lightness ranges from black → gray → white. HSV's Value ranges from black → full color → white. HSV is preferred for color picking because saturation changes are more intuitive and predictable.
