Type a HEX code or pick a color. Get exact ink percentages with a live breakdown and total ink coverage check, plus RGB and HSL side by side.
Enter a valid HEX code - 3, 6 or 8 digits.
✓ Ink percentages and Total Ink Coverage update live as you type
Total Ink Coverage (TAC) is C+M+Y+K combined. Most commercial presses run best under ~280–300% - higher can smudge or dry slowly on coated stock.
Everything runs in your browser - no colors are ever uploaded
See C, M, Y and K as visual bars, not just numbers - spot heavy channels at a glance.
Get an instant TAC read-out so you know if a color is safe for coated stock before you send it to print.
Click any code - HEX, RGB, HSL or CMYK - and it's copied instantly, with a quick confirmation.
Type a code, use the eyedropper, or drag the picker - whatever's fastest for you.
Type a HEX code directly, or use the color picker and eyedropper.
CMYK, RGB and HSL values appear instantly, with C/M/Y/K bars and a Total Ink Coverage check.
Tap any code and it's copied straight to your clipboard, ready to paste into your design tool.
A HEX code like #7C3AED is converted to CMYK by first splitting it into RGB, then computing how much cyan, magenta, yellow and key (black) ink is needed to reproduce that color in print. This tool does both steps at once.
TAC is the sum of the C, M, Y and K percentages. Most commercial presses cap it around 240–300% - going higher can cause slow drying, cracking or muddy prints. This tool flags colors that run high so you can adjust before sending to print.
CMYK conversion isn't standardized the same way RGB and HEX are - it depends on the color profile (SWOP, GRACoL, FOGRA...) a tool assumes. Treat CMYK output as a strong starting point, not a locked print value.
No. Every conversion happens locally in your browser. Nothing you type or pick is sent to a server.
Yes - use the CMYK to HEX or CMYK to RGB converters for the reverse direction, or any of the other format converters linked below.
